Aldebaran, meaning ‘The Follower’ from ancient Persian
astronomy, as title for our program offers tribute to the star’s aeons-old legend in ‘Pursuit of Beauty’. Aldebaran’s treasured mares are the glittering Foundation Stars. In most renderings of this ancient constellation, Aldebaran represents the celestial Bull's eye.
Desired Constellation
It is our belief that in the cradle of nature lies the preservation of the human spirit. We found the source of our pursuit in the National Treasure of Egypt and Poland; the majestic Arabian horse.
The Classic Polish Queen *PUSTYNNA TARCZA, (Pamir x Pretoria / *Penitent) heralded as one of Poland’s best producers and imported to USA from the prestigious Pride of Poland auction, is the elite Alpha Star mare of Aldebaran Arabians. For our Straight Egyptian program, the treasured broodmatron BINT ATTEYAH R, a rare Ibn Morafic daughter, out of Egypt's famed Dam line of Moniet El Nefous, is the embodiment of the conservation of classic and rare genetics available to our future bloodstock.
Preservation of the Integrity of
the Arabian Horse
Our principle mission at Aldebaran Arabians is founded upon the stewardship of archetypical progenitors of classic Arabian type, athleticism and beauty. Through this mission, the forward guardianship of rare and unique Arabian individuals is an integral role. We hope to carry our work in respect to the designs of nature by maintaining an organic and ethically-artistic approach to conserving classic, charismatic beauty and impressive function in these regal creatures.
We warmly welcome you to explore this online presentation of our program and thank you for your interest in the Arabian horse
Purpose is the reigning question for everyone, and the very journey in the foundation of Aldebaran Arabians thus far has been manifested through a very personal objective. Gaurav Walia has been an avid custodian of fine Arabian horses for some years now having spent time training in competitive endurance while living in Africa, where he was born and raised.
He studied both international aviation and environmental management fields in Geneva and London, prior to moving from his native Kenya to the vibrant wineland countryside of Cape Town where he spent two years living and working.
In collaboration with his partner, Soniya Hayat, he now resides in San Francisco, California. Aside from their active endeavors with the majestic Arabian breed they also own the pioneering luxury safari conservation operation in Eastern and Southern Africa, and the exotic Indian Ocean islands, focusing on sustainable wilderness models and eco-photography in the most game-rich and fragile regions across the sub-Saharan continent.
